Marc Provisor was born in Philadelphia in 1962. He moved to Israel in 1978.
From 1981-84 Marc served in the Israel Defense Forces as a Paratrooper.
He studied at The School of Visual Arts from 1986 - 89.
He further studied under the tutelage of Artist Marc Klionsky while he was in New York.
Marc started painting during his military service as a combat soldier in Lebanon. Continuing onto studying Art in New York City at the School of Visual Arts. During the years 1988 - 91 Marc exhibited at a number of Galleries, winning various Awards and became a "selling" Artist.
Much of his work is based on the concept of Beauty and Chaos. He usually paints a number of works at the same time. Each in its own realm.
He left the Art world in 1996 when he returned to his Security background, working in the field of Homeland Security and Counter Terror. It was during this time that due to his position as a "Security Chief" he went through many incidents of actually fighting terror face to face. Needless to say these incidents affected his Art.
Recently Marc has returned to painting, focusing on many topics, from the beauty of Landscapes, the darkness of Terror, and the Sensuality he finds in the land in which he lives and the journeys that he takes.
He paints mostly in Oils and various Water based mediums.
